After I got off work Pete met us at the daycare and we all went to the church carnival. It was free with a food donation to their food bank. All the games were free and the food was very reasonable. We ate hot dogs, pickles, fajitas, and had some drinks and Hannah played lots of games.
Modern spin art. How crazy is that!?
In the moonwalk - Hannah wanted in so badly all night. She'd see the kids jumping and laugh and try to jump with them (on the ground). Finally we saw that there were only 3 kids in, 2 who were in my class at the daycare and one who was in Hannah's. We put her in and everything changed. She was not at all sure about it! The two older kids from my class had to help me get her out because she was too scared to crawl back to me. In the mean time, while I was lying on my belly trying to slither in and catch my crying baby, I was introduced to the church pastor! Not exactly my most collected moment, or my most graceful introduction!
This is Hannah immediately after getting out. She was much happier. This is me talking to the pastor. See, not collected, or graceful!
We left the carnival a little before 8 and Hannah was asleep within minutes. She slept all the way home, woke up long enough to greet the dogs, change, and brush teeth and then went right back to sleep. Halloween can be exhausting!
